XboxEra's co-founder, Nick «Shpeshal Nick» Baker took to X with a cryptic tweet, stating that on roughly January 31st, "" and concluded with "" The hints to several upcoming PlayStation titles were evident, and led many to believe a PlayStation State of Play could be imminent.
RinoTheBouncer then decoded Baker's post, and provided a list of exactly which titles had been hinted at, albeit with an «UNCONFIRMED» disclaimer. Rino listed previously known titles such as, Bloober Team's remake,,, and, which were unsurprising considering some of their release dates due this year.
However, this list also included some surprises such as a PS5 or PC re-release of Supermassive Games' horror title, which would bring the PlayStation-exclusive title to PC for the first time, and would align with the announcement of a movie adaptation of the game that's in development with and director David F. Sandberg at the helm. The title in question could be the Sonic and Shadow-led game that was rumored in December 2023, or it could be a first look at Shadow's movie appearance in the film coming later this year, as Sony has also revealed movie and TV trailers in the past, particularly for game adaptations.
If these rumors are true, players only have to wait a mere matter of days to get a look at what PlayStation has in store. With the titles hinted at so far, the next State of Play is sure to be an impressive one.
