Warner Bros.‘ free-to-play platform fighter went offline last year with the promise of a full launch in early 2024. Now it seems like the game’s relaunch is coming soon as the previously leaked MultiVersus and McDonald’s collaboration has been confirmed on the fast food giant’s website.
McDonald’s has said the MultiVersus Match-Ups collaboration is “coming soon” to its restaurants in the US, Australia, South Africa, and several European countries. This seems to suggest that the game is set to relaunch soon too, although neither developer Player First Games nor Warner Bros. has confirmed anything more specific than “early 2024.” However, the game’s internal Steam page was updated earlier today according to SteamDB, adding further fuel to the rumors.

Each pack includes a collectible tin featuring two in-game characters, stickers, and a mini double-sided jigsaw puzzle. There will be several improvements when MultiVersus relaunches on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. These include “the content cadence of new characters, maps, and modes; netcode and matchmaking improvements; progression system updates; and much more.” More information on this is promised closer to the game’s relaunch.
Players can resume from where they left off with all progress, Gleamium, battle pass tokens, character tickets, and “any other in-game items” earned or purchased before June 25, 2023. Anything earned during the game’s offline period will not be carried over.
