Expectations were pretty much rock bottom going into Pokemon Day this year, with Game Freak's most recent outings having disappointed heavily in recent years. There wasn't much that could've generated a lot of excitement and positivity among the community, but Nintendo and Game Freak managed to do so with the announcement of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which will take players back to the Kalos region for a new adventure.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is obviously a semi-open world title with various zones that feature different kinds of Pokemon, but it appears as though Pokemon Legends: Z-A will take a different approach, as it will be entirely contained within Lumiose City.
Quite how that's going to work out, we just don't know, but it's not going to be too long before we find out. It was announced that Pokemon Legends: Z-A will launch at some point in 2025 simultaneously for all Nintendo Switch systems.
