After the recent Palworld patch was released, some gamers have complained that negative traits are being forced on newly bred Pals, causing the developers to promise a fix for this issue soon. Breeding was used as an efficient tool to eliminate negative traits while cultivating good ones, and this change frustrated many Palworld fans who believe that breeding is potentially worse now.
Since its release in January, Palworld has been one of the biggest hits of 2024. The early-access survival game managed to sell over 15 million copies on Steam and reach over 10 million players on Xbox. The complaint was massively supported by the fans, which caused Pocketpair devs to acknowledge the issue. The team used the Discord channel to promise that the change would be rolled back as soon as possible. However, it's not yet clear if this will be addressed in a hotfix or a full patch.
While this change may have caused some gamers to be unhappy, most of the alterations made by Palworld’s patch 0.1.5.0 are positive. The new patch addresses many glitches, optimizes the game’s performance, and even introduces a backup feature that ensures a gamer will not lose their data in case there’s an unexpected issue that corrupts their save.
