With the likes of Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Microsoft has on occasion shown a willingness to bring some of its relatively smaller but most widely acclaimed titles to the Nintendo Switch, and recent rumours have claimed that the company has something similar in store for 2024.
It was recently reported that this year will see a critically acclaimed first party Xbox title releasing for a competitor platform, following which it has been widely speculated that Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush will be the game to make that jump. Interestingly enough, a leaker is now claiming that that will indeed be the case.
As per ResetEra user lolilolalo, the acclaimed rhythm action game is set to release for the Nintendo Switch. In a thread made on the forum for the aforementioned leak, a user wrote in a message that Hi-Fi Rush was probably headed for the Switch, and responding to that message, the leaker seemed to affirm that.
lolilolalo has previously accurately leaked a number of Xbox-related announcements, including Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Reload releasing for Game Pass, as well as the existence of the upcoming remake Persona 3 Reload (and that it wouldn’t include content from Persona 3 FES).
In our review of Hi-Fi Rush, we awarded it a score of 9/10, saying, “Even though it has flashes of games that came before, Hi-Fi Rush is a unique, masterful game that accomplishes everything it sets out to with plenty of style and charm to spare.” Read the full review through here.
Hi-Fi Rush is currently available on Xbox Series X/S and PC. As of August last year, it had surpassed 3 million players on all platforms.
