Fans of the most recent core-series Pokemon titles have come up with countless designs of their own based on the intriguing new Paradox Pokemon, with these alternative designs helping breathe new life into many existing creatures.
«Paradox Pokemon» is an umbrella term used to identify the various odd species of Pokemon that can be found within the Great Crater of Paldea, with both the Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet versions featuring different rosters of Paradox Pokemon. While these enigmatic creatures appear at first glance to come directly from the past or future depending on the game version, information revealed in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC confirms that their origins are a little more complex than that.
In any case, both «past» and «future» Paradox Pokemon represent drastically redesigned variants of several popular Pokemon, and have inspired fan artists to create their own custom Paradox Pokemon as well. Some designs recently shared by an artist going by the name Art_Goblin_Draws feature the Gen 1 Pokemon Snorlax, with the artist creating both a past-inspired and future-inspired version of the sleeping Pokemon. Their first design, Slumbering Wrath, features a violent and territorial Normal and Dark-type take on Snorlax which somewhat resembles a grizzly bear, and is complete with the sharp claws and teeth synonymous with the other prehistoric Paradox Pokemon designs.
