This article has some spoilers for Baldur's Gate 3
Following the latest patch for Baldur's Gate 3, new dialogue has been discovered for the game's resident vampire companion, Astarion. Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 6, which was released on February 16, also contained a staggering amount of quality-of-life upgrades, alongside new animations and bug fixes.
Baldur's Gate 3 has been praised for its writing and the depth of its characters, winning multiple awards for developer Larian Studios and Astarion's performer, Neil Newbon. Its emotionally intelligent representations of trauma have endeared the game to fans, with many feeling empowered by seeing struggles similar to their own reflected in the characters' stories.

The dialogue used prior to the newly released Patch 6 for discovering the player's tryst with Mizora is still in the game, but will now only generate if Astarion has ascended and is no longer a vampire spawn.
This change to Astarion's dialogue seems to be a welcome addition for fans of the character, with many feeling that the change better represents his internal growth up to that point in his story. His personal storyline in Baldur's Gate 3 revolves around overcoming the abuse and dehumanization he experienced at the hands of his former master, Cazador, so his new reaction makes sense for a character
