Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is losing Soul Hackers 2 and Madden NFL 22 on February 29, 2024. While both games are being removed from the Xbox Game Pass service, they will still be available for purchase on the Microsoft Store for those who want to continue playing.
Game Pass does occasionally lose a handful of games, but the service is constantly adding to its robust library of titles as well. Recently, Xbox Game Pass added two highly-rated games for subscribers to check out. Not to mention, Microsoft has already confirmed six new games coming to the service in just the next few weeks.
On February 29, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be losing Soul Hackers 2 and Madden NFL 22. While losing Soul Hackers 2 is a bit of a blow for fans of the Shin Megami Tensei universe, Madden NFL 22 is perhaps less noteworthy considering newer iterations of the annualized franchise are currently available on Game Pass Ultimate through EA Play. That said, Shin Megami Tensei fans can enjoy Persona 3 Reload on Game Pass Ultimate thanks to the game's day-one launch on the service earlier this month.
It is worth noting that the «leaving soon» tab within Game Pass Ultimate shows that both Soul Hackers 2 and Madden NFL 22 are departing the service on March 1, 2024, as titles are generally removed from the service in the early hours of the morning depending on time zones. For those looking to play Soul Hackers 2 after it is removed from Game Pass, the game is currently on sale for $17.99 USD on the Microsoft Store. Madden NFL 24, the latest installment in the franchise, is already available for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on PC and console and will be available for Cloud on February 27, 2024.
Game Pass subscribers can soon enjoy Activision Blizzard titles on the service too. The first Activision Blizzard title joining the service following the massive acquisition is Diablo 4. Diablo 4's Xbox Game Pass release date was confirmed during a recent Official Xbox Podcast episode by President Sarah Bond.
