A Pokemon fan artist redesigned the Pokemon Hoothoot as a Future Paradox form and shared their efforts on social media with other trainers. Following their post, the Pokemon fan artist was complimented by other Pokemon trainers for their work, and some of them compared the Future Paradox Hoothoot with other robots.
Known as the Owl Pokemon, Hoothoot first appeared in Pokemon Gold and Silver. As one of the first Pokemon that could be found exclusively at nighttime, Hoothoot is a Normal and Flying dual-type Pokemon with a spherical body, brown feathers, and distinct red eyes. With eyebrows shaped like clock hands, and the ability to stand on one foot rather than two, Hoothoot's design looks reminiscent of an alarm clock. Hoothoot evolves into Noctowl, starting at level 20. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can find both Hoothoot and Noctowl throughout the land of Kitakami in the Teal Mask DLC.
Though it has an adorable appearance as is, one fan decided to give Hoothoot a new, futuristic look. On Reddit, a Pokemon fan and artist named JJonnie posted their take on a Future Paradox form of Hoothoot and shared their handiwork on the r/Pokemon subreddit. Following their previous work on an Ancient Forretress, JJonnie gave Hoothoot a new color palette while still retaining its spherical body.
Dubbed «Iron Portal» by the OP, this Future Paradox form of Hoothoot would be exclusive to Pokemon Violet. Iron Portal has white metal feathers and blue eyes, which can turn into projectors to make holograms. Its beak and eyebrows are gold-colored, and its legs are replaced with a single, silver-colored peg. Iron Portal has a portal embedded in its belly, which can create wormholes at any point in time and space. This is done by projecting a holographic calendar, selecting a date, and then expanding the portal to take both the Pokemon and its trainer to the destination.
Compared to other fan-created Paradox Hoothoot forms, JJonnie gave Iron Portal the dual types of Electric and Flying.
