Occult sims in are supernatural sims that possess unique skills or abilities that go above and beyond what ordinary humans can do. These unique sims are spread across multiple game and expansion packs, with the most recent, game pack, having been released in 2022. There are eight main types of occult sims, and all are available to interact, play as, or both.

Occults typically come with new DLC content for and tend to have varying levels of interactivity. Some have new plot lines and ways of navigating the world, while others are mostly cosmetic variants of regular sims. Their appearances in the game have been met with both adoration and annoyance, with some options being much more highly favored than others.
