Occult sims in are supernatural sims that possess unique skills or abilities that go above and beyond what ordinary humans can do. These unique sims are spread across multiple game and expansion packs, with the most recent, game pack, having been released in 2022. There are eight main types of occult sims, and all are available to interact, play as, or both.
Occults typically come with new DLC content for and tend to have varying levels of interactivity. Some have new plot lines and ways of navigating the world, while others are mostly cosmetic variants of regular sims. Their appearances in the game have been met with both adoration and annoyance, with some options being much more highly favored than others. Here are all eight types of occult sims in, ranked from worst to best.
Service robots, known as "", were introduced in expansion pack. Sims can build a servo if they possess the right upgrade parts and a high robotics skill. They have an electronic screen for a face, which will emote a cute, green expression when they're content, and a red face when a negative Moodlet is present. They can possess human names and traits (although they cannot have needs-based traits like Glutton), and can form strong bonds with human sims — both platonic and romantic.
The best and worst thing about servos is that they are essentially human sims as robots. There is little difference between servos and humans, other than servos' inability to go swimming or bear their own children. They certainly have an adorable quality, and are entertaining to interact with, but the robots lack their own definitive traits that offer exclusive benefits to playing them. Unless it's purely for the aesthetic, there's nothing that a servo can do that a hired maid or a human sim with fully unlocked benefits can't.
