Baldur's Gate 3 has plenty of difficult sections that players will just about crawl through, but you'll struggle to find one as universally dreaded as the Gauntlet of Shar. Affectionately dubbed the "Shar Olympics" by fans, this section of the game has you taking on a variety of fiendish puzzles and challenging encounters that really can have you questioning whether you like Shadowheart enough to deal with the dungeon's tomfoolery.
To get through the Gauntlet of Shar, players have to complete several trials to collect three Umbral Gems, which are then used to unlock a big door at the end of the dungeon. Most of you reading will already know this of course, what with the Gauntlet of Shar playing a big role in the character development of Shadowheart, but what you may not know is that you can skip these trials entirely if you have a character with Knock in your party.
First shared by Twitter user Clancadera (thanks GamesRadar), you can actually use Knock on the large door at the end of the dungeon to open it, rather than painstakingly go through each trial for every item that you usually need. You only actually need a single Umbral Gem to get though the Gauntlet of Shar this way, which you get given by Yurgir, as the elevator down to the door only requires one to power it up.
You don't even really need to go out of your way to get Knock either, as it's quite easy to acquire and stick on a party member. Knock can be learned by Bards, Sorcerers, and Wizards and is accessible at just Level 3, so pretty much everyone should have one party member with the spell, whether it be Gale, Minthara, or your player character.
Better yet, if you have nothing to do with Shadowheart or just don't have her in your party, you can also skip even more, as you don't have to go and grab the Spear of Night from the dungeon's hidden library.
