Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been revealed as the official title of the superhero game Uncharted creator Amy Hennig is making at Skydance New Media. It's slated to release next year, and stars Captain America and Black Panther during World War II. A trailer was revealed during a GDC livestream, which you can catch above.
«In the chaos of war, worlds collide. Skydance New Media and Marvel Games share an original story where an ensemble of four heroes must overcome their differences and form an uneasy alliance to confront their common enemy,» the new YouTube description teases. As well as the two recognisable Marvel superheroes, you'll also get to play as a soldier and what looks like a female spy. Using Unreal Engine 5, the trailer is said to be running in real-time.
This is a single player, narrative-focused experience where you'll play as the four heroes at different points throughout the game. You'll take control of «a young Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America; Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandfather and the WWII-era Black Panther; Gabriel Jones, a United States soldier and member of the Howling Commandos; and Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in Occupied Paris».
