The cast and composer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hyrda have been revealed, showing fans who will be voicing Captain America, Black Panther, and more. After over a year of relative silence, Skydance Interactive and Marvel showed off their upcoming game collaboration in a big way earlier this week with a blockbuster Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra trailer. The game was first revealed back in 2022, with the base premise being Captain America and Black Panther joining forces to take down Hydra during World War 2.
These two legendary Marvel heroes aren’t the only playable characters along for the ride, as Marvel 1943 will see fans take the roles of Gabriel Jones, a US soldier and member of Cap’s legendary Howling Commandoes, and Nanali, a Wakadan spy undercover in Occupied Paris. While these four protagonists have the same enemies, they won’t see eye-to-eye at first — Marvel 1943’s recent story trailer shows Captain America and Black Panther at odds with one another, and it ends with the two comic book legends locked in fierce combat.

For starters, Khary Payton will voice Azzuri, the Black Panther of the WW2 era and grandfather to the more widely recognized T’Challa. Meanwhile, Drew Moerlein will pick up Captain America’s mighty shield as he sets off against the forces of Hydra. Backing the good Captain up will be Marque Richardson as Gabriel Jones, while Megalyn Echikunwoke will play Nanali as she comes to Azzuri’s aide. Lyne Renee voices Julie, a key ally in the French Resistance, and Joel Johnstone plays Howard Stark.
Of all the actors currently attached to Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, comic book fans might recognize Khary Payton the most thanks to his role as Cyborg in the classic Teen Titans animated series and various other DC-based video games and shows. Drew Moerlein has had minor roles in numerous video games, including Red Dead Redemption 2 an
