Publisher Bohemia Interactive has had a large impact on PC gaming over the past decade or so, with major genre-defining titles like Arma and DayZ to their name. But did you know Bohemia also has another major game it’s currently supporting that’s never been on PC? Initially released back in 2019, the free-to-play Vigor has attracted over 20 million players on Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch, but it's never been released on PC. Why? Honestly, I don’t know! Obviously, not every game has to come to PC, but Vigor is the type of experience that specifically does well on the platform, so it doesn’t make much sense.
Well, hey, it seems Bohemia Interactive have come to their senses, because they’ve announced Vigor is finally coming to PC next month. Bohemia Interactive hosted a livestream showing off the game on PC and answering some questions, which you can check out below.
While Vigor is a free-to-play title, those who want to play in Early Access can purchase the “Reinforcements Pack” which includes a variety of items and will set you back $20. During their livestream, Bohemia also clarified that the PC version of Vigor will have Easy Anti-Cheat and that full crossplay between PC and consoles is being worked on for this year (cross-progression, on the other hand, isn’t).
For those who haven’t played Vigor, it’s very much in line with other Bohemia Interactive titles – that is to say, it’s a fairly hardcore open-world survival-shooter game – with the key differences being that it’s free-to-play and has an interesting post-war Norwegian setting…
