MutliVersus just dropped a gameplay trailer for the Joker, showing off how he'll fight when the game relaunches later this month. However, the clown prince of crime has been upstaged in his own reveal, as the trailer also seems to confirm that another new fighter is joining the roster soon.

The Powerpuff Girls can be spotted alongside the other fighters in MultiVersus in the first few seconds of the Joker gameplay trailer. This seems to be a pretty strong indicator that they'll be joining the game in the future, although how that will work in practice remains to be seen since they'd be the first trio to join the platform fighter.

So, how will Powerpuff Girls work in MultiVersus? Well, since all three of them are here, it's a safe bet to say that the trio will stick together, as opposed to just one of them getting the fighter slot. With that in mind, it's possible that they'll play like Pokemon Trainer in the Super Smash Bros. series, where each one has different moves and can be swapped out mid-fight. Either that, or we'll control all three at once, with each of them representing different moves, kind of like the Ice Climbers.

In any case, MultiVersus is set to make its grand return on May 28, so not too far away now. The Joker trailer also just confirmed that it will start from season one once again, so it won't continue from where the beta period left off. This makes sense, since this is being touted as MultVersus' real launch.

Hopefully, updates will be a lot faster this time around, as this was a common complaint during MultiVersus' first run from July 2022 to June 2023.
