has announced an increase in its monthly and yearly ad-free plans.
Announced in a press release, Max’s monthly ad-free plan is increasing by $1 effective today, June 4, 2024. The new price will be $16.99 per month.
The yearly ad-free plan is also increasing by $20 per year, making the total now $169.99 a year.
Additionally, the monthly ultimate ad-free plan is also increasing by $1, with the new price now being set at $20.99 a month. The yearly ultimate ad-free plan is increasing by $10, with the annual price now set at $209.99.
The prices are effective immediately only for new subscriptions.
“Existing subscribers will be notified 30 days in advance of their plan renewing and see price increases starting from their next billing cycle on or after Thursday, July 4, 2024,” the press release states. “Current yearly subscribers will not see an increase until renewal.”
The Max with ads plan currently remains unchanged at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. The plan with ads allows subscribers to stream on two different devices at once with full HD video resolution.
The ad-free plan also allows subscribers to stream on two devices at once with full HD video resolution. It also allows for 30 downloads to watch on the go.
The ultimate ad-free plan, meanwhile, allows users to stream on four different devices at once in 4K Ultra HD video quality (as available). It also includes Dolby Atmos immersive audio (as available) and 100 downloads to watch on the go (limits apply).
