A possible sequel to the Lords of Fallen is reportedly in development by the studio CI Games and is expected to launch by 2026, as revealed in documents discovered by game researcher Kuraksis.
Lords of Fallen gained huge traction amongst gamers when it was initially released, selling over a million copies in just 10 days from the official launch. The game was popular amongst those who desired a Soulslike title, and it was immediately evident that the studio would indeed launch a sequel to the title, to maintain consumer interest periodically.
The upcoming projects by CI Games include the next iteration of Lords of Fallen, called Death of Fallen, along with an open-survival title Gate to Gehenna, a new entry in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series, and Project Scorpio which is said to be a multiplayer tactical FPS. However, our focus here is on Death of Fallen, since this particular sequel holds the greatest interest amongst the audience.
Unfortunately, we are unaware of the specifics of the Death of Fallen, however it is said that the title is in development by Hexworks, the same studio responsible for the Lords of Fallen. Moreover, the game will be based on Unreal Engine 5 like the recently released installment and is built around "more ambitious gameplay options for wider audience appeal", as stated in the documents revealed by Kurakasis. The game will most likely be available on PC and the latest generation consoles, however, there was no official statement to back this.
Death of Fallen is reported to launch in 2026, which is still two years away. Meanwhile, Hexworks is busy improving and adding to Lords of the Fallen. They've already added a lot of free content before the end of 2023, and it wouldn't be at all surprising if
