Twitch is ending things on a high note according to StreamElements’ latest State of the Stream report. According to data partner Rainmaker.gg, viewers watched 1.727 billion hours in November. Excluding the first quarter, November set a daily hours watched peak with 57.5 million watched on average per day.
“Twitch is closing out 2023 on a high note with a daily hours watched peak compared to the last two quarters,” said Or Perry, cofounder of StreamElements. “Other highlights include KaiCenat breaking xQc’s three-year streak as most watched streamer, ironmouse breaking Amouranth’s two-year run as top female streamer, and Diablo IV dominating the Twitch chart for new game debuts. The big takeaway is that as other platform’s pursue top talent, you can never predict who will be the unofficial face of a brand.”
With 109 million hours watched in 2023, Kai Cenat took down xQc’s three-year run as Twitch’s most watched creator. Cenat’s February-long subathon netted over 43 million hours watched, solidifying his lead over Gaules and ibai in addition to xQc.
On top of ranking second and third, Gaules and ibai are the most watched Portugese and Spanish language streamers on Twitch. Both creators have carved out a niche as a go-to co-streaming partner for esports events in their respective languages. While tournament organizers get amplified reach, both Gaules and ibai’s viewership benefitted from the high value content.
