Spider-Man 2 is chock full of references to other Marvel properties, as New York itself features locations such as the Avengers Tower, the Sanctum Sanctorum, and the Wakandan Embassy, all of which are references to The Avengers, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther. In fact, the latter even lets you throw up a wholesome Wakanda Forever salute outside of its doors as a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, but you'd better make sure you're playing as Miles Morales if you want to do it.
It was recently noticed by TikTok user SpectreXGaming (thanks Kotaku) that if you head on over to the Wakandan Embassy in Midtown as Miles Morales, you're given a prompt to do the salute and Miles will stand facing away from the door and throw up his arms. Head on over as Peter Parker, and you'll notice that the prompt to do the salute doesn't show up at all, meaning you can only perform the Wakanda Forever salute as Miles.

Peter is obviously a pretty cool guy, and probably doesn't have some kind of racial bias against Wakandans, so we can chalk this down as a deliberate decision from Insomniac. Marvel fans will know that the Wakanda Forever salute is used very heavily in the Black Panther movie, which takes place in the fictional African country of Wakanda. As a result, the salute has become somewhat of a symbol for Black Pride in real life in recent years, most commonly associated with resistance and solidarity.
With that in mind, it makes perfect sense that Peter can't do the salute while Miles can, with Insomniac likely wanting to pay tribute to another community like it does throughout the rest of the game, with its excellent representation of Puerta Rican culture, LGBTQ+
