features two playable protagonists, Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Throughout the duration of, both Peter and Miles will unlock a plethora of abilities that will add to their already impressive arsenal of crime-fighting skills and gadgets. While these impressive abilities are generally worth the time and effort to unlock from the skill tree, some of Spider-Man's are undoubtedly better than others, and should be obtained as soon as possible.

Though Miles Morales has readily been accepted by the Spider-Man fandom, the original Spider-Man, Peter Parker, remains the most widely known and generally beloved web-spinning, wall-crawling superhero to don the iconic mask and suit. While Miles and Peter share a number of traits in, the pair of crime-fighting heroes differ in the abilities they can obtain during a playthrough. Beyond the shared skill tree, Peter has his own unique skill tree with a little under 20 potential abilities to unlock — although the vast majority of Peter's potential abilities are great, some are far superior to the others.
Though the ability Spider Whiplashis one that has a limited usage, it can be particularly powerful in the right circumstances. Spider Whiplash allows Peter to lift enemies into the air — it can even be used on Brute enemies. Primarily targeting only one opponent at a time, Spider Whiplash will see Spider-Man grabbing adversaries with his web before using his mechanical limbs to launch them high up into the air. While occasionally Spider Whiplash will affect enemies that are near the primary target, this ability is generally best used in one-on-one combat, as it generally cannot be depended on when
