When inXile was acquired by Microsoft/Xbox a while ago, they were best known for RPGs such as the Wasteland and Bard’s Tale sequels. Today at the Xbox Games Showcase, it was revealed that they’re still very much working on RPGs, but now they’re venturing into different worlds. More specially, a steampunk world and a first-person RPG world, courtesy of Clockwork Revolution, whose debut you can see in the reveal trailer below.
Set in the steampunk city of Avalon, the game sees you playing as someone who stumbles upon a time-travel device, and discovers that Avalon’s existence is due to events altered throughout history. But now you have the means to alter history as well, and as you can see, that can sometimes have drastic consequences. Full of impressive weaponry, scenery, and what looks to be an interesting story, Clockwork Revolution should be an interesting RPG to check out when in comes out later for XSX and PC, where you can play in on Game Pass from Day One.
