Developers Stoic are best known for the Banner Saga trilogy, but with that wrapped up a while ago, what exactly is next for a team who produced such acclaimed titles? Well we received the answer at today’s Xbox Games Showcase, as we got to see the debut of their next game, Towerborne. As seen below, the team is dabbling with a more traditional action-adventure game this time around, and it looks quite impressive so far.

Set in a world where humanity has suffered a massive loss, your goal is to protect the remaining inhabitants of the Belfry, teaming up with friends and selecting from one of several colorful warriors, setting out to defeat a whole amount of equally colorful monsters in what looks like some classic hack-and-slash, beat-’em-up gameplay. Towerborne arrives in 2024 for XSX and PC, and we can’t wait to learn more about it, so stay tuned.
