Destiny 2's new secret Exotic mission to get the Vexcalibur glaive has much more to offer after the first completion. When you first complete the mission and acquire Vexcalibur, you’ll get a quest called Vexcalibur: Authorization Override. By completing this, you'll be able to unlock new intrinsic traits for the weapon, much like Revision Zero last season.
In order to get to the new Vexcalibur Exotic glaive, you need to complete Defiant Battlegrounds as part of your seasonal quest--it should be one the first few steps in the questline. Once you have that part done, we have a handy guide that takes you through the secret entrance on EDZ and //NODE.OVRD.AVALON// Exotic mission. With that done, here's how to begin unlocking new intrinsic traits.
This Exotic secret mission has much more to offer after the first completion. When you first complete the mission and acquire Vexcalibur, you’ll get a quest called Vexcalibur: Authorization Override.
It’s a short quest with three parts where you must get Vex final blows by firing the Vexcalibur glaive--glaive melee kills may not count but ranged shots definitely do. Vex are predominantly around the Neomuna’s Vex Incursion Zone and Límíng Harbor's Thrilladrome Lost Sector, or you can head to The Orrery Lost Sector on Nessus from Artifact’s Edge. The Garden of Salvation raid entrance spawns many Vex.
Under Vexcalibur’s weapon mods tab, you should see a basic mod called Authorization Override. Equipping this gives Vexcalibur the ability to walk through Vex barriers. Then head back to the HELM to get your Defiant Engram reward; you'll have one out of three Ctrl-Alt-Complete Season of Defiance Triumphs completed too.
