Helldivers 2 has released an update that aims to fix the many issues plaguing PC players at launch. Helldivers 2 has also informed PlayStation 5 fans on when they can expect their own patch.
The anticipated Helldivers sequel launched on February 8. However, Helldivers 2 launched with significant bugs that affected matchmaking, logins, and stability. Arrowhead Game Studios explained that Helldivers 2's large influx of players at launch introduced new issues that went undetected during testing, an unfortunately common occurrence with new releases. Despite these issues, Helldivers 2 has a Mostly Positive Steam rating of 70% and is the global top-selling game on the platform, showcasing the franchise's enjoyable gameplay. Currently, Helldivers 2's sales sit above Steam titans such as Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2. The post-launch patch has helped to improve the community's reaction from launch day, when Helldivers 2 sat at a Mixed rating of 53% at one point.
