One Starfield player recently came across an impressive location that they'd never seen before in over 800 hours of playtime. Located on Maheo I, the site in question sparked a discussion among the Starfield fandom about whether the game should have placed a greater emphasis on unique locations than it ultimately did.
Bethesda has long touted Starfield's thousand-plus planets as one of the game's big selling points. And while some players welcomed the opportunity to explore a virtual world that's actively trying to mimic the vastness of space, others found this design philosophy to be at odds with the developer's decision to sprinkle procedurally generated points of interest (POIs) across nearly every planet in the Settled Systems, arguing that it makes exploration highly repetitive.
Yet even some of the most dedicated players continue to discover new Starfield locations to this day. That group includes Reddit user Constellation_XI, who recently came across a distinct-looking building on Maheo I, the first planet in Starfield's Maheo star system. Located on Sonny Di Falco's island, the site is essentially a giant mansion featuring a spacious lounge, bedroom, terrace, and some amenities.
Constellation_XI said they were quite impressed with the discovery, not least because they stumbled upon it after already spending over 800 hours in Starfield, thus being fairly convinced they had already seen the majority of what the game has to offer. And while the player initially mistook the location for a random POI, several other fans pointed out that this is actually a fixed site. Aside from its distinct architecture, the futuristic mansion is known to the wider fandom as the only in-game location where it's possible to grab some swimming gear without risking a shootout. The alternative way to get a swimsuit in Starfield is to steal one from Paradiso, which can be easier said than done, depending on one's build.
