A creative Pokemon fan shared their artwork of a Mega Evolution for Oricorio, highlighting and reinforcing its attributes as a dancing master. Mega Evolutions were introduced in the sixth generation Pokemon games, and many fans have been creating their own Mega Evolutions and sharing them with the community ever since.
Oricorio is a Pokemon with no evolution, but it can change to four distinct forms depending on the nectar it consumes. These nectars can be found on four islands in the Alola region and, when given to Oricorio, alter the Pokemon's appearance and its primary type. In total, Oricorio can be of four types: Psychic, Ghost, Fire, or Electric, with its dual-type Flying always present in all forms. These Pokemon variations emerged during Generation 7 with the introduction of Alolan forms.
User Dinosaurin on Reddit created a Mega Evolution for Oricorio that exhibits distinct characteristics from all four forms. The Baile Style inspires the wings. The eyelashes appear to be a blend between the Sensu Style and the Pom-Pom Style. The central part of the head is inspired by the Sensu Style, the sides by the Pom-Pom Style, and the hair by the Pa'u Style. Since all of Oricorio's forms can transform into the Mega Evolution, it's only fair that they share features to create a unique appearance, which could also serve as a natural evolution for any of Oricorio's forms.
The artist goes further and also creates Shiny versions of Mega Oricorio, sharing its base stats and a new ability. Oricorio is known for being the only Pokemon in the series to have the ability Dancer, which is an immediate counter when an opponent uses a Dance move. Dinosaurin's Mega Oricorio has evolved its ability to Pro Dancer, which has the same effect as Dancer, but every attack is considered super effective. It's not the first time a fan has created a new Pokemonversion that is artistically beautiful but so powerful that it probably wouldn't be officially featured in a game.
