Baldur's Gate 3 fans have found a rare scene in Act 1 where the player character speaks. This is a remnant of the game from earlier on in its development, where the player character was meant to chime in with dialogue of their own during cutscenes.
Most of this was either removed or never recorded, but one line has been found early on in the game and shared for all to see. Here, we can hear Tav speak, and without the player being asked to select a dialogue option. It's one of the very few times you can find this in the game, as otherwise, the player has to choose every single dialogue option, all of which are unvoiced.
As neat as this is, you'll have to take a particularly painful route in the game to get this single line of voice dialogue from your character. This scene takes place after the party you'd have with the goblins, should you help them raid the grove. Not only does this mean you slaughter all the tiefling refugees, but it locks you out of having Wyll, Karlach and Halsin as companions. You'd then have to fight the goblins at the party, probably taking Minthara out too, so you don't even get her for your troubles. No wonder Tav is piping up - there's no one else left to speak.
If you skipped this though, players have found another dialogue opportunity. Upon your entry to the Shadow-Cursed Lands, your Tav might have something to say there too.

Every companion could speak in its previous game, Divinity: Original Sin 2, although it did make the dialogue less personal. For the most part, characters all have the same possible lines of dialogue, with whoever's leading the party getting to say the line, with a follower responding. Baldur's Gate 3 mostly has unique lines for each companion, just not whatever character the player is controlling.
With that being said, it's strange that a couple of lines are still
