In last year's edition of the game, there were some big changes added, some of which worked and some didn't. While it can be exciting to get a 99 card, one of the biggest frustrations last year was that the thrill wore off quickly due to the sheer number of incredible 99 overall cards that were being pulled. Even worse, they were found at the beginning of 's seasons, so players ended up just using the same cards over and over.
This year, is spacing things out better, with no 99s at launch. The highest rated card for Season 1 will be a 91 OVR, and better cards will gradually show up while moving through the seasons. This change will help make 99s much more special, by making them more challenging to obtain. The gradual climb to better cards will also be better for encouraging continued play, always able to reach a little higher.
