Dead by Daylight is crossing over with Slipknot, having just introduced a new content drop themed after the legendary heavy metal band. The collection comprises eight cosmetics for just as many Dead by Daylight Killers.
Behaviour Interactive's hit asymmetrical multiplayer horror game has been pursuing themed collaborations ever since its 2016 release. Many of those initiatives have involved partnerships with other popular IPs in the genre, which is how Dead by Daylight ended up crossing over with the likes of Resident Evil, Alan Wake, and Silent Hill, among others. But every once in a while, Behaviour Interactive debuts a collaboration that's a bit more out of left field.
The newly launched Slipknot Collection is another testament to that trend, though one that might not come as a surprise to some fans, as its existence was already leaked back in May 2023. Nearly a year later, this Dead by Daylight crossover bundle is now finally available for purchase, offering access to eight cosmetics inspired by the popular heavy metal band. Game Rant inquired about pricing information for the Slipknot content ahead of its release, but Dead by Daylight declined to share those details.
As for what is actually on offer here, the collection includes seven masks for Dead by Daylight Killers. The new cosmetics have been tailor-made for The Blight, The Clown, The Deathslinger, The Hillbillly, The Trapper, and The Wraith. Additionally, the DLC pack also comes with a full outfit for The Legion (Frank), called Subliminal Menace. The outfit appears to have been inspired by Slipknot's turntablist, Sid Wilson, who often appears on stage in a long red robe and a mask. Although his headgear of choice is usually a gas mask, he occasionally combines that attire with a scarier-looking white mask, which is the one that Behaviour Interactive ended up adding to the game.
