Have you heard about Evil Prince and the Puppet or Akuaya, the otome game that’s been hidden in the shadows for ages? The game was announced in 2020 and it’s been in the works all this time. Just in, today’s the day the Akuaya CBT rolls out.
The developer Black Crown dropped a tweet on X (Twitter) today reminding all the players who had signed up for the closed beta test. It’s only for Japanese servers though. The Akuaya CBT test is running for a solid week until April 1st.
In Evil Prince and the Puppet, you’re supposed to be sacrificed to Prince Dia. Dia has a hunger for human souls, although he doesn’t look like that. Dia was a big deal in Koruchikamu Kingdom until he got turned into a demon.
Despite being cursed to live forever and looking like a kid, he needs to eat souls to fuel his magical powers. Luckily, instead of ending up on a plate served for him, you end up serving the prince as a loyal vassal in his castle. Yes, spending time with you starts jogging his lost human memories.
Apart from Dia, you hang out with Dia’s dedicated knight, Espada, and the unpredictable Princess Fiori in the game. Espada’s the definition of a faithful knight while Princess Fiori is a free spirit who lives by her own rules.
Despite the hush-hush, all signs are pointing to a release sooner rather than later, maybe even later this year. But there’s still no word about an English version just yet. On that note, take a peek at the game below!
In the Akuaya CBT, you get a dash of home decor and the chance to stroll around different scenes. So, ladies, if you like Otome games, swing by the official website for more insights.
