Gearbox co-founder and Borderlands creator Randy Pitchford revealed a new SHiFT code that gives players three free Skeleton Keys in multiple games, including Borderlands 3 and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Like previous SHiFT code drops, players have a limited window to redeem the code and claim their Skeleton Keys in Borderlands 3 and the other Borderlands entries that are still supported.
The loot-focused Borderlands series sees players change their weapons and gear frequently, since new loot drops happen very often as enemies are defeated throughout the course of the game. As the player levels up and completes story content, the loot drops and gear acquired from chests will be more powerful and worthwhile. Nearly 15 years after the release of the original Borderlands, the loot-based approach of the series continues to entice millions of players, with the most recent entry being Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.
On Twitter, Randy Pitchford shared a new SHiFT code for fans to redeem in their favorite Borderlands games in the series. Redeeming the SHiFT code S6RBJ-HH6BT-JBBTT-333T3-RJ5KC will give players three Golden/Skeleton Keys in Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 3, and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. This code may be redeemed within the games or at Gearbox's official SHiFT website after logging in. Players may want to act fast in order to redeem their rewards, since the SHiFT code will expire on Thursday, April 25 at 10:00 AM CT.
After redeeming the SHiFT code, Borderlands fans may use their Golden Keys and Skeleton Keys on a Golden Chest located in the game's main hub. For example, players would need to head to Sanctuary in Borderlands 3 to access the Golden Chest and use their Golden Keys. Each key will open the chest and grant a random assortment of high-rarity weapons and gear, which scale with the player's own level at that moment. As a result, Golden and Skeleton Keys are excellent resources to gain powerful loot at any stage of the player's journey
