Sony has rolled out the latest PlayStation 5 system software update, version 24.03-09.20.00, bringing with it the highly anticipated Community Game Help feature. This update allows users to tap into a wealth of community-generated hints for supported games such as Granblue Fantasy: Relink and the upcoming Stellar Blade.
Under this new feature, hints labelled asCommunity Game Help are now seamlessly integrated into the Game Help section for supported titles, according to Sony. These hints are sourced from gameplay videos shared by fellow players. Users are also empowered to rate the helpfulness of these hints, a move that Sony believes will enable the curation of informative assistance for players.
Importantly, the Community Game Help feature is accessible to all PS5 players, regardless of whether they have a PlayStation Plus subscription. Users can choose to participate in contributing to Community Game Help from the Settings menu, with the option to opt out at any time, thereby removing all published videos.

Once activated, the PS5 will automatically capture gameplay footage upon completing certain in-game activities. This footage undergoes moderation and, if approved, is published as a Game Help hint for the PlayStation community to utilise and evaluate. Sony assures users that these videos are promptly removed from the console upon upload to its servers, alleviating concerns about storage space. Users will be notified via system notification upon publication of their video.
