An official artbook for the upcoming third-person shooter Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has leaked online, and it includes a significant amount of information on as-of-yet unannounced features in the game, including a full-on PvP mode. Though this information may not come directly from the developer itself, many Warhammer 40K fans seem thrilled to finally have additional details about this much-anticipated title.
Announced for next-gen consoles and PC at The Game Awards 2021, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is a direct follow-up to the 2011 cult-classic from Company of Heroes developer Relic Entertainment. The sequel, which is being helmed by Saber Interactive, intends to build upon the foundations of its predecessor by adding features like a three-player co-op campaign mode and going all-out on making epic battle sequences using special tech from titles like World War Z. Though the developers have shared a decent amount of information on the game since its initial reveal, fans haven't gotten any updates on it sinceits release date announcement in December 2023. A recent leak, however, gives a clearer picture of what those excited about the game can expect from the upcoming action title.
As covered in a post by u/IcePopsicleDragon on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit, a YouTuber by the name of prdalien0 has uploaded footage showing off the entirety of the artbook fromWarhammer 40K: Space Marine 2's impressive collector's edition. The leak reveals a number of things about the game, most notably that it will apparently include a «Marine x Marine only» PvP mode. It seems that those who play this mode will have the ability to customize their banners and clans, but details were not given as to how.
