Arlo is one of the three Team Rocket Leaders you can try to beat in once again in March 2024 before trying to challenge Giovanni for a hidden Legendary. The cold, calculated trainer in this group, Arlo has a variety of Pokémon with varied types that can be hard to counter. Only those with a carefully selected team will have a chance to win against Arlo's powerful roster.
Before you can fight Arlo, you need to craft a Rocket Radar by beating Team Rocket Grunts. The parts you gain from these small victories will allow you to craft the Radar, which will attract either Arlo, Sierra, or Cliff in to a nearby location. Check out different Pokéstops and Rocket Balloons once you've activated the Radar to find one of the Team Rocket leaders ready to fight.
Like his fellow leaders, Arlo only uses Shadow Pokémon or strong variants of the pocket monsters you are used to seeing. There are three waves of Pokémon Arlo will throw out, with the first always choosing Shadow Bagon to start off the fight. Similar to Cliff's Shadow Zubat and the Shadow Tentacool of Sierra in , this is the one Pokémon you can predict will appear every time.
The second and third waves each have three possible Pokémon Arlo could use, making it difficult to anticipate what you'll be fighting. However, there are some patterns to Arlo's team that you might notice when looking at every Pokémon on his roster. Identifying which weaknesses are the most common could be your key to success in this battle.
