Fortnite developer Epic Games has reportedly patched a popular XP exploit in LEGO Fortnite that enabled players to gain XP points by doing nothing. The «AFK XP exploit» was being used by many Fortnite players to level up and unlock rewards quickly.
The AFK XP exploit involved entering a match in LEGO Fortnite and then going AFK to gain XP points without even moving the player character. Amusingly, a crestfallen user shared that they wondered how they would reach level 200 now that the exploit was gone. Since higher levels bring more cosmetic content in Fortnite, this was a mutual feeling across several comments. On the other hand, another user labeled the move as «much-needed,» and reasoned that it made no sense to reward players for simply loading the game up.
Apart from that, several comments also discussed other innovative ways to gain XP in LEGO Fortnite while still being away from the game. A few users suggested makeshift methods, such as using a rubber band or wrapping a cord around the controller's stick, to make the player move
