Pokemon GO officially confirmed the Raid Day events that will take place in March 2024, which star Water-type Primal Kyogre and Ground-type Primal Groudon as the featured Legendary Pokemon. For a very limited time, Pokemon GO players will be able to battle these Pokemon and earn special bonuses and rewards, including Rare Candy XL.
Pokemon GO developer Niantic hosts new Raid Day events each month, giving experienced trainers an opportunity to team up with other players and capture powerful Pokemon. Similarly to Pokemon GO's Community Day events, Raid Day events give players several rewards for participating within a short duration. March 2024's Raid Day events focus on Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon respectively.
The Pokemon GO Raid Day Primal Kyogre event will be held first on March 17, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this three-hour window, Primal Kyogre will frequently appear in raids, and the chance to encounter a shiny Kyogre is greatly increased. Spinning Gym Photo Discs will award up to five additional free Raid Passes, and the Remote Raid limit will be temporarily increased to 20 from Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. to Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. PDT. For those wanting a boost in rewards from raid battles, a $5.00 event ticket will be available with limited-time bonuses, such as 50% more XP and an increased chance for Rare Candy XL drops in Pokemon GO.
The Primal Groudon Raid Day event will be held exactly six days later in Pokemon GO on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Players may benefit from the same event bonuses as the Primal Kyogre event, including increased shiny encounters, additional raid passes, and an increased Remote Raid limit from Friday, March 22, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. PDT. Once more, purchasing an event ticket for $5.00 will increase the player's chances of obtaining Rare Candy XL and other rewards during Raid Day, just like last
