Three of Fortnite's newest modes,LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival, have received major updates that add new features and ways to play. Thanks to new modes and updates like these, Fortnite remains healthier than ever.
Over the span of November, Fortnite broke its record for total players within a month by reaching a whopping 100 million users. This milestone came on the heels of Fortnite's Season OG update, which proved to be a huge hit with the fan base. Going into the future, it's clear that Epic Games has every intention of maintaining Fortnite's popularity, which just received a substantial new update.
Battle Royale fans will have to wait a little longer until they receive their next update, butLEGO Fortnite has just received a big one, called the Gone Fishin' update. The game now has its own fishing mini-game, which requires players to craft a Fishing Rod to catch various types of fish, each of which has a Legendary version that can be caught. When fishing, available fish types are based on the water, weather, time of day, and what LEGO Fortnite biome the user is in. Fortnitefishermen can also use new items like the Food Processor or Bait Bucket to get more bang for their buck. LEGO Fortnite's newest update also adds two new tools in the Spyglass and Compass, which can be crafted to see further and access new navigation tools. Additional changes include new villager options, charms, LEGO-style outfits, gameplay improvements, and bug fixes.
Fortnite's Rocket Racing has also received a substantial update, which adds a new mode called Speed Run. This mode sees players battle against the clock instead of other users by trying to set the fastest possible lap time. Player collision is turned off in this mode. Each Speed Run game lasts several minutes, giving users time to complete multiple laps and perfect their approach. The update also adds a new option to Rocket Racing's lineup of car bodies.
