A new update coming to adds important customization features with new hairstyles and colors for the Sims. With the help of the modding community, players on PC have been able to achieve pretty realistic game play, but players on consoles have not been able to experience this for themselves, which is why base game updates like these are important.
Publisher Electronic Arts has announced their partnership with beauty brand Dark & Lovely and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion advocate Danielle «Ebonix» Udogaranya to bring more diversity to. They are working together to bring 24 new colors and two different hairstyles in-game. These options will be available in a free update scheduled for April 2, so anyone who is interested in using these hairstyles on their own Sims will be able to do so right away.
Ebonix is a custom content creator and has made multiple Black hairstyles for everyone to use and has been making custom content since 2015. She has also partnered with Electronic Arts in the past to bring new nails to the game in game pack. Alongside Dark & Lovely, Ebonix had a larger influence on the hairstyles and colors and worked closely with the team to make sure they looked right. There is also another planned update to be released in July 2024 that will add even more hairstyles to the mix.
