The Star Wars: The Old Republic team revealed details about Update 7.5 in a special stream today. We can expect the next chapter of the Desperate Defiance story, a new spring event on Dantooine, new single-player content, PvP Season 6, and more.
In the next story chapter, which follows the events of Chains in the Dark, Padawan Sa’har Kateen asks for your help to help retrieve Darth Nul’s holocron, a risky mission that sees Sa’har become a new companion. This means turning on Heta Kol, the Hidden Chain, and even her brother, Ri’kan. It also means returning to Hutta.
When you make your way to the planet, you'll notice that there is a worker Rebellion going on in the Minboosa District. Here, you’ll meet some of the worker rebellion leaders, who are some new allies. You’ll also get to meet Yusinduu the Hutt, the “completely legitimate businessman” and boss that the workers are up against.
In 7.5 PvP Season 6 will arrive, marking the start of a new release cadence that ties PvP seasons to new update launches. Continue training the prototype to reach its potential and you'll be able to eventually unlock it as a permanent companion that you can use in limited times. This is the first of these single player Ventures, but the team plans to add more.
A month ago, Keith Kanneg mentioned a new seasonal event, and here we go. The Dantooine Farmstead and Spring Abundance Festival are on the way. There are new rewards to collect, and an event quest that involves being the caretaker of a farmstead on Dantooine. You'll get a plot of land to tend to and the rest you'll see when 7.5 launches. The Spring Abundance Festival features activities like dancing, making pies, animal rehabilitation, and a galactic egg hunt.
