It’s been over a decade since 7 Days to Die entered Steam Early Access, but the game’s developer, The Fun Pimps, finally feels its ready for its official 1.0 release.
In a new video published to The Fun Pimps’ YouTube channel, studio co-founder Richard Huenink discusses the announcement, offers tentative launch dates for the PC and console, lays out plans for the game’s future development in a new roadmap, and more.
The developer plans to launch 7DTD in June, with the console launch to follow soon after in July. The version 1.0 update will include overhauled vehicle assets, new creatures, a new gore system for zombies, and tons more visual effects and graphics upgrades alongside optimization and controller support.
Beyond launch, the roadmap laid out plans for Q4 2024 through Q4 2025, with some highlights including a new weather system and biome progression overhaul, the introduction of bandits, an event system, story mode, and Steam workshop support.
The Fun Pimps also announced a price change for the game. Once the game launches out of early access in June, the game’s price will increase to $44.99. Players can grab the game at a 76% discount as part of a special Last Chance sale running between April 22 and April 29.
