Without any warning, Hades 2 has launched into early access on both Steam and the Epic Games Store for players to hack and slash through the levels.
The developers at Supergiant Games stealthily launched Hades 2 into early access not only to give players the opportunity to dive head first into the underworld but to gain feedback on the development thus far and make improvements before the full launch. This mostly means that the Early Access phase won’t include the entirety of the features planned for the full release, as most early access games, and that it will change and morph into its final form over time.

They also mention that they assume Early Access will be continuing until at least the end of 2024, meaning there is a good bit of time before a full launch goes live.
So what exactly is available during Early Access? There is a plethora of content to enjoy during the initial launch, but there are some characters that have yet to be implemented and dialogue that isn’t in-game either. So for those who are more interested in the storyline and character interactions, it might not be the best time to dive in.
With that said, there still is a lot of content to enjoy within the Early Access version, so it doesn’t hurt to get some hours in either way. More so, progress made during Early Access will carry over during the official 1.0 launch, so there is no harm in pummeling demons into the dust while we await the full release.
