Bethesda Game Studios has released the details for Starfield's next major update.
Version 1.11.33 — which will arrive just in time for the game's first post-launch expansion Shattered Space set for later this year — is currently available in Steam Beta will official go live on PC and Xbox Series X|S on May 15, and is perhaps the most notable update to arrive since the game's launch in September.
With this patch, Bethesda has introduced a ton of new quality-of-life improvements, including the highly-requested improved surface maps which will allow players to see location markers in towns and cities.
«We’ve heard your feedback, and we’ve made some big improvements to surface maps, so you’ll always know just where to go and no longer 'get lost' on the way to your parents’ place (and they weren’t buying that excuse anyway, you should really go visit them),» Bethesda said in the patch notes.
With the current state of Starfield, the game is locked to 30FPS on Xbox Series X|S, however, with the upcoming update, players will be able to choose between two new display settings — Visuals or Performance.
