Amazon Prime’s Fallout TV show has supercharged excitement in the Fallout IP, leading to a significant surge in player counts across a variety of Fallout titles on Steam, but also for Fallout London, a fan-created mod for Fallout 4 that may as well be an entirely new entry in the series due to the breadth and scope of the project.
Unfortunately, Fallout London has been delayed. The team was close to releasing the mod, which had a release date set for April 23, but Bethesda’s long-awaited Fallout 4 next gen update is releasing two days later on April 25 and Team FOLON, the mod’s developer, doesn’t want to risk the update breaking the mod shortly after its release.
One issue with the delay is that team is unable to put a timeframe on the mod’s new release date since many of the underlying modding systems weren’t developed by Team FOLON but by various other modders. This means that getting Fallout London back to shippable after Bethesda’s update depends on both the mod developer sorting things out on their end as well as whenever other mod developers get to updating the mods being used in Fallout London.
Additionally, the team announced that due to its file size, Fallout London will not be available on Nexus Mods, but will instead be distributed via GOG.
