Disney Plus Schedule July 31-August 6: New TV & Movies Being Added
The is topped by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures.
On Wednesday, August 2, the Disney-owned streamer will add Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to its content. The latest (and likely last) chapter in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise features the return of the beloved characters, who’re now dealing with the High Evolutionary. The movie features the return of Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel as Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Kraglin, Nebula, Mantis, Rocket, and Groot. Additionally, it introduces franchise newcomers Will Poulter and Chukwudi Iwuji as Adam Warlock and the High Evolutionary. Vol. 3 grossed over $840 million at the box office, placing as the second most successful film in the Guardians franchise. The movie was written and directed by James Gunn.
On the same day, six new Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures episodes will head to Disney Plus, featuring new adventures for the beloved Younglings. The freshman season will have 25 episodes, seven of which premiered in May. More installments will debut later this year. The voice cast includes Jamaal Avery, Jr. as Kai Brightstar, Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay, Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs, Emma Berman as Nash Durango, Trey Murphy as Taborr, Jonathan Lipow as RJ-83, Nasim Pedrad as Master Zia Zanna, and Piotr Michael as Master Yoda. Michael Olson serves as showrunner and executive producer.
