The PS5 was once again the best-selling console of the month in the US, both in terms of units sold and dollar sales. As per the latest data from Circana (previously NPD), Sony's current-gen console carried its record-breaking momentum into July 2023, with June's trio of heavy hitters — Diablo 4, Street Fighter 6, and Final Fantasy 16 — all retaining a place in the software charts top ten.
Perhaps surprisingly, Diablo 4 was knocked off its number one perch by Remnant 2, which feels like one heck of a victory for developer Gunfire Games. Meanwhile, Modern Warfare 2 climbed into third ahead of Modern Warfare 3's upcoming release, and the seemingly evergreen Hogwarts Legacy jumped a spot from fifth to fourth.
Elsewhere, Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales are still kicking around in the top 20, no doubt riding on the hype of their imminent sequel. And in not-so-positive news, Exoprimal seemed to struggle. Capcom's co-op action shooter entered at number 16, but it's worth noting that it was available day one on Game Pass, which probably skews the data a little.

FFXVI holding onto 5th position will not be what the haters were hoping for surely.
@ChrisDeku ff16 is probably at 5 million by now. Once it comes to PC next year it will clear 10 million easy.
