The classic PS1 first-person shooter Star Wars: Dark Forces is being resurrected on the PS5 and PS4 – almost 30 years after it first released. The game – which originally launched on MS-DOS – is being remastered by Nightdive Studios, which is using its proprietary KEX Engine to rebuild the original in 4K resolution at up to 120 frames-per-second.
The full game will feature Trophies, as well as “advanced 3D rendering” and various other improvements that will help make it more palatable to a contemporary console audience. There’s no release date attached just yet, but the title’s due out at some point later this year, alongside the Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion remaster announced earlier in the day.

Like many classics I've got the original on PC and revisit it at least once every year. I'm very tempted to pick it up again for console — if the price is right of course.
I love the fact that all of these old games are coming back. It's why I subbed to Premium although less said about that the better.

Fookin yissss. This game was my childhood. I booted it up the other day and was surprised at just how well it holds up. I'm all for buying it again on PS ❤️
