Relics are a fantastic accessibility feature in Sea of Stars, allowing players to tailor the experience to their liking. Customization features like this are a welcome addition to a rather challenging turn-based RPG. The stigma around games like these is they are outdated or old-fashioned. Features like this prove otherwise. There’s more to these items than meets the eye, so let me show you where to find and how to use all relics in Sea of Stars.
I’ll explain where you can find other relics shortly, but if you want to use some right away, you can access two right from the start. We’ve got an in-depth guide for how these work, but by default, you have access to the following:
The Amulet of Storytelling gives your party a massive HP boost and regenerative health after battles. This takes the urgency out of combat and removes the reliance on foraging for food items.
Timing is a crucial part of Sea of Stars, and the Sequent Flare displays perfectly timed abilities with a bright rainbow-colored star and sound cue. For precision abilities like Valere’s Moonerang, you can get a feel for the timing very quickly with this item.

You can purchase other relics from shops scattered across the world. Here’s a list of the relics, what they do, and where to get them. Naturally, with locations, we’re heading into spoiler territory, so consider yourself warned.
Location: Can be purchased from several shops.
Effect: Regular attacks are always timed perfectly, but extra hits deal 20% less damage
Location: Throne Of The Queen That Was.
Effect: Health -95%, and enemies are invincible while casting. Timed blocks reduce all damage to 1, and Timed attacks deal double damage. This is one for the showoffs and speedrunners!
