Earlier this month, HBO confirmed that Euphoria Season 3 would begin filming in January 2025.
“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January,” said HBO Programming Executive Vice President and head of HBO Drama Series and Films Francesca Orsi. “We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of ‘Euphoria’ to life for the fans.”
All principal cast members are expected to return. This includes Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Nika King, and Storm Reid.
Euphoria Season 3 has faced significant delays since Season 2 went off the air in February 2022. Filming was set to begin in 2023, but the Hollywood labor strikes shut down production. The delays were impacted further due to the tragic deaths of cast member Angus Cloud and executive producer Kevin Turen.
Also, HBO reportedly did not like creator Sam Levinson’s initial drafts for the third season, which included a five-year time jump and a storyline where Rue became a private detective.
