Split Fiction, the next game from It Takes Two developer Hazelight, is looking fantastic. We didn't need to see another trailer, but we got one, and we're no less excited.
Focusing on the game's story, the trailer is centred around the two protagonists, young writers Mio and Zoe, who are trapped within the worlds they've both written. Specialising in different genres, their worlds manifest into a wide variety of sci-fi and fantasy landscapes, each offering unique gameplay ideas.
It seems like the pair won't get along at first, but this being a co-op game through and through, we've no doubt they'll see eye-to-eye by the end.
If there's one area we're a touch concerned about with Split Fiction, it's the narrative; It Takes Two's story was odd, to say the least. Still, we're banking on the gameplay to carry this even if the story disappoints, but hopefully it's an improvement in that area as well.
Split Fiction is super close now, launching on PS5 on 6th March, 2025. Are you looking forward to playing this? Buddy up in the comments section below.

Looking forward to playing this with my wife though I will need to read some reviews first to make sure she can play it. We got thru It Takes Two well enough but I need to know they haven’t decided to crank up the difficulty. Doesn’t look like it but you never know.
