Borderlands 4 Out on PS5 in September, Dedicated State of Play Confirmed | Push Square
Gearbox Software has announced Borderlands 4 will release for PS5 on 23rd September 2025, and it'll have a lot more to share in an upcoming State of Play livestream dedicated entirely to the game. That will debut in Spring, but you can catch a new trailer above.
In a new PlayStation Blog post, Borderlands 4 is described as the series' «most ambitious» entry yet, providing more «looting and shooting mayhem than ever before. Our team has been kicking so much ass, and we cannot wait to share it with you!» That's Borderlands 4 confirmed for 23rd September 2025.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he's found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
If borderlands hires better writers I’d be interested. I love borderlands art style and shooting but the story and characters not so much.
I am honestly not sure if I'll tune into the Borderlands 4 State of Play, as I was sold on this game by the title alone and don't want too many more spoilers. I adore having friends over to play couch co-op shooters, and Borderlands barely edges out Halo as being my favorite in the space!
